Lisa Jin


Formally, an incoming PhD student in computer science. Off the record, someone obsessed with making useful, elegant things who happened upon coding as a medium. Occasionally can be found behind a music stand instead of a computer screen.


At the University of Michigan, I was advised by Danai Koutra at the GEMS Lab, with the goal of summarizing and visualizing dynamic brain networks. I plan on continuing in a similar vein of applied work through AI/HCI research at the University of Rochester.


I was fortunate enough to join research at the intersections of psychology, math, neuroscience, and CS as an undergrad. Being a web developer (at Vodori, Kellogg Eye Center) showed me the impact of CS solutions in another context, like healthcare.
